Okay so when I went to go help my friend with her pig dissection, two little girls were there. They got all into the dissection with us. Every time we cut they would say ewww or gross. They had tweezers and were poking all the organs and seeing how far they could stick them into the nose. They kept wanting to play with everything.  They were up on the counter just amazed at every little thing inside. Until next time!

Today in class we went to the computer lab kind of as a catch up day, I guess. We have these take-home tests, which are really hard, and I used google to search for some of my answers. Could have gone better. I still need to start my six weeks project which is due October second. Don’t know exactly what I’m going to do. Right now I’m going to head back up to the school and help one of my friends with her pig dissection. So until next time!

Anatomy and Physiology-1 September 9, 2009

This year I am taking anatomy and physiology and throughout the year I will be trying to post a blog every day I have the class telling of what I have learned. This is actually late. I have had the class several times already.

So far I have learned that the reason you hiccup is because your epiglottis, or the flap covering your windpipe, gets stuck in the upright position.  On the third day of class, we got to dissect a fetal pig. Which was really fun, but they really stunk. That was my first time dissecting something that big, I rather enjoyed it. We started studying chapter 3 which is cell differentiate. Which there are four different types: Epithelium, Connective Tissue, Nervous Tissue, and Muscle. We had to look at these different types through microscopes. I hope I do well on that practical! Here’s hoping. Well until next time!
